Makhosi Khoza returns to the world of politics with a new political party

Makhosi Khoza, the former ANC MP, has returned to the world of politics and will be unveiling a new political party later this week.

Khoza, who was always outspoken, joined a march with security guards to the City of Ekurhuleni offices in Germiston yesterday.

She has received endorsements from the African Security Congress, which is a political party that was formed by security guards countrywide, to lead the new political formation that will be revealed this upcoming weekend.

Briefly.co.za learned that speaking after the march, Makhosi said that she had tried to take a break from politics after resigning from parliament. It was nearly impossible though as a lot of organisations approached her as they needed her leadership.

She said that so many people came to ask for her leadership as they wanted her help to merge the different formations to form a big force that will take down the ANC next year.

"People are tired of corruption, losing jobs, going to bed without food. People are tired of destitution and hopelessness. That promise that we gave them in 1994, unfortunately the ruling party, the political home that I was part of, betrayed that mission."
"That is why I am here, working with the people. This country is going to see something that is new. Something it has never seen before. All of us have decided to come together to form a formidable force.''

TimesLive reports that there are about 16 organisations part of the new political organisation, she added.

Among these organisations are ASC, Forum for Service Delivery, United Front of Civics, Metsimaholo Civic Association and a large number of members from the National Freedom Party.
