The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) have committed themselves to keeping the ANC out of power where ever possible.

The ANC splinter party is more prepared than ever to work with the Democratic Alliance although they do not agree with the DA's policies.

After the ANC's attempts to remove Herman Mashaba and Atholl Trollip using no-confidence votes had failed due to the EFF's decision to oppose the ANC.

In Gauteng, the EFF successfully outvoted the ANC using their numbers in the city council winning by more than 18 votes alongside the DA and its allies.

The EFF accuses the ANC of trying to sneak back into power through the back door. Julius Malema's party believes that the DA is the lesser of the two evils.

The EFF concedes that the DA is far better at running a clean government and fighting corruption than the ANC.

The ANC has vowed to bring a new motion of no confidence in the DA mayor in Gauteng in six months if there is no improvement in service delivery to the people.

The DA has stated that the coalition government's success at defeating the ANC's motions are a testament to the strength of their alliance.
