- The voting will soon begin for the top six
Ronald Lamola, former ANC Youth League leader has come out in support of Cyril Ramaphosa, saying that he is the right choice for ANC president.
“You really can’t take away anything from comrade Nkosazana in reality, but from the campaign and the cloud of the Guptas for the president and so forth, I think it will be difficult for us to convince society that the organisation has been recaptured by its members.”
Briefly.co.za learned that Lamola believes that younger leaders are necessary for the ANC to survive.
The proposal for two deputy presidents which was floated by Jacob Zuma during the ANC policy conference earlier this year has been dismissed according to ewn.co.za.

Treasurer General: Paul Mashatile and Maite Nkoana-Mashabane
National Chairperson: Gwede Mantashe and Nathi Mthethwa
The voting will soon begin as soon as the ballot cards are prepared.
